The Grażyna and Kiejstut Bacewicz Academy of Music in Łódź (Department of Music Theory)

Master of Arts (theory of music and piano) and PhD (theory of music) graduate of The Grażyna and Kiejstut Bacewicz Academy of Music in Łódź, Poland. Since 2007 she has been working at her home Academy as a teacher of aural training, musical analysis and history of music in both Polish and English. In 2014 she completed her doctoral dissertation on verbal-musical relationships in the works of Ludwig van Beethoven (Relacje słowno-muzyczne w twórczości Ludwiga van Beethovena, Łódź 2015), the German translation of which is coming soon. Her main research interests include relationships between language and music, musical signification, translation and music, transcriptions and arrangements, particularly in the 19th-century music.

She was an active participant in a series of seminars on Ludwig van Beethoven’s music Beethoven-Studienkolleg, organized by Beethoven-House in Bonn (Germany) and a number of international conferences, symposia and congresses in musicology. Obtaining a research grant “Preludium” from the National Science Centre in Poland in 2011-2014 enabled her to conduct scientific queries in Germany and Austria. She is also a member of an international research community of musicologists from Central and Eastern Europe, based in the University of Leipzig.
